Step 1

¿What would you change about policies labour in your city?

Labor policies, or labor rights in Colombia although they have advanced in recent years, are still precarious compared to developed countries, and therefore we can know ourselves as a third world country.
The minimum wage in Colombia is one of the lowest salaries in Latin America, and it is one of the most disproportionate salaries with respect to the salaries of people in government positions. To this, we must add the retirement law in which each age is greater for men and women.
However, in Colombia, informal work, companies that do not pay for disabilities, do not grant paid vacations, and prefer to hire staff for the provision of services, abound, which makes the situation more difficult for the average Colombian. Adding to the small income that represents the minimum wage in Colombia, factors such as increased taxes, IVA, the decline of support for the Colombian economy by the government that prefers to encourage imports by reducing their taxes, to motivate the economy are added. internal, which increases taxes, which for the country is reflected in business crises and job reductions because for companies it is difficult to stay in a market where support does not come but goes. Therefore, to the labor policies of my country, I would change it:
1. Reduction of taxes, lower the percentage of IVA paid
2. Reduce the retirement age.
2. Increase the minimum wage proportionally to how the salary of people who work in government companies is increased.
3. Decrease the minimum value required for the declaration of income of natural persons.
4. It would promote the internal economy, reducing taxes to the companies that manufacture inside the country, and increasing them to those that matter, companies such as Fast Fashion.
